QUALITY MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND PRODUCTIVITY OF SELECTED FOOD AND BEVERAGES MANUFACTURING FIRMS IN LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA

The performance of food and beverages manufacturing firms is important to the development economy this has been considered by researchers. In Nigeria, decline in productivity sector noticed which could be as a result lack quality management practices such leadership behaviour, strategic planning, supplier management, process customer focus. study investigated effect on selected Lagos State, Nigeria. adopted survey research design. population was 14, 591 top, middle low-level employees while sample size 491 determined using advisor table. Simple random sampling technique used. A validated questionnaire used collect data. Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficients for constructs ranged from 0.866 0.954 . response rate 100% achieved. Data were analysed multiple regression model. Findings revealed that had significant (Adj.R 2 = 0.148; F (5, 485) 18.004, p < 0.05). concluded significantly affected recommends should encourage adoption enhance improve productivity.
